Reading back through entries from 2003 and 2004 and the number of comments I recieved on them I was reminded that I should probably alter the text that pops up when a user goes to write a comment.
It occurred to me that it wasn’t made entirely obvious that when you make a comment, only a name is required. Both e-mail address and URL are there as options for those who may want to use them however they aren’t required to make a comment.
If it’s your first comment then it will get held in a moderation queue for me to approve (part of the multi-tiered system that stops comment spam from turning up on my site) however after the first approval, all of your posts will appear without any delay.
So please, I know some of you are put off by the system but don’t let it worry you. The chatbox is there if you want it however if you have something to say about an entry, you can say it without leaving an email or website.
